The Hybrid Electric Cars are among those alternative fuel vehicles, which are eco-friendly and economical means of commuting. Types of Hybrid Electric Cars
The Hybrid Electric Cars can be of two types: Full Hybrid Electric Cars and Mild Hybrid Electric Cars. The Full Hybrid models use the gasoline as well as the electric motor to run the car. Further more, the gasoline engine can be shut down at a traffic signal and the car can be started on only the electric power.
On the other hand, the Mild Hybrid Electric Cars make use of the electric motor to enhance the output of the gasoline engine, whenever required. The gasoline engine shuts down when not in use and starts up whenever additional power is required, making it a stop/start system.
Prices of Hybrid Electric Cars
The Hybrid Electric Cars are provide great performance and many fold benefits, but all for a pretty good price. As a matter of fact, the price of a Hybrid electric Car is higher than the usual gasoline cars. However, the price difference of around $2,500 to $3,500 is not that great to overshadow the long term benefits.
Hybrid Electric Cars in the Market
With the some of the leading car manufacturers designing the Hybrid Electric Cars, there are presently many amazing models in the market. For instance, the ones from the Toyota’s Luxury Lexus division offer excellent performance along with the usual fuel-efficiency feature. Other companies with present and upcoming models of the Hybrid Electric Cars are Honda, Ford, General Motors and Nissan.
