Electric Car Conversion
Most of the electric cars that can be seen on the road are conversion vehicles which are home brewed. People who have a fetish for such type of cars usually get the cars powered by gasoline into cars which work on electricity. This task is usually performed in garages and backyards where there is lots of space as things can get pretty messed up while this stupendous assignment is performed. A quintessential car conversion involves a DC controller along with a DC motor, without which the care would be no more than a toy. The mechanic who does the honors makes the call regarding the voltage that would be suitable to run the car. Usually the voltage varies from 96 volts to 192 volts, a range considered quite appropriate. Depending on the voltage, a firm judgment is taken regarding the number of batteries required by the car and the type of controller and motor apt for the vehicle. The batteries have to be wired along with the motor with the use of a gauge wielding cable. When all is said and done, the ignition switch should be rewired post which a person can sit in the car and take off.
